Description
Keep Dock Cords Organized, Secure and Out of Sight
MagnaClips provide a clean magnetic cord management system for organizing power cords, extension cords, lighting cables and other waterfront wiring without permanently fastening the cord itself to your dock.
Install the ferritic steel mounting brackets using the included marine-grade adhesive or customer-provided screws. The magnetic cord holders then snap onto the brackets, holding your cords where you want them while still allowing quick removal.
- Keeps dock cords tidy, secure and out of walkways
- Approximately 20 lb magnetic pull strength
- Fits cords up to 1 inch in diameter
- Multiple smaller cords can fit inside one holder
- Marine-grade adhesive included
- Rubber-coated magnets for waterfront use

A Cleaner Way to Route Waterfront Wiring
Loose cords can hang from dock framing, cross walking surfaces or remain exposed around waterfront equipment. MagnaClips give you a dedicated place to secure those cables while keeping the installation clean and easy to access.
Keep Cords Tidy
Route loose cords along the dock instead of allowing them to hang, cross walkways or remain exposed around waterfront equipment.
Adhesive or Screws
Install the ferritic steel brackets with the included marine-grade adhesive or use customer-provided screws when a mechanical mounting method is preferred.
20 lb Magnetic Hold
Approximately 20 lb of magnetic pull strength keeps each holder firmly connected to its steel mounting bracket during normal use.
Seasonal Dock Ready
Pull the magnetic holders from the brackets at the end of the season and leave the clips attached to the cords for faster setup next year.
Strong Enough to Hold, Designed to Release Under Extreme Tension
MagnaClips use approximately 20 lb of magnetic pull strength to hold cords against the ferritic steel mounting brackets.
If a cord becomes caught or placed under unusually high tension, the magnetic holder can separate from the bracket instead of remaining permanently locked to the dock.
This magnetic release point can help reduce excessive strain on cords, plugs, connections, dock framing and connected waterfront accessories.
The cord stays captured inside the MagnaClip while the magnetic holder can detach from the mounting bracket if enough force is applied.
Install MagnaClips behind dock rails, framing or other protected areas whenever possible to keep wiring organized and less visible.
Built Around Dock and Waterfront Cord Management
MagnaClips combine magnetic convenience with materials selected for repeated use around docks and waterfront equipment.
Ferritic Steel Brackets
The mounting brackets provide the steel surface required for a strong magnetic connection while helping address corrosion concerns.
Rubber-Coated Magnets
The magnetic bases are protected by a rubber coating that helps shield the magnets from moisture, weather exposure and corrosion.
Hidden Installation
Mount the brackets behind dock rails or framing to keep extension cords, lighting cables and equipment wiring tucked away.
Quick Access
Magnetic mounting allows cords to be removed or repositioned without repeatedly unscrewing traditional permanent cord clips.
Organize One Large Cord or Multiple Smaller Cables
Each MagnaClip accommodates cords up to 1 inch in diameter. Multiple smaller cords can also be captured in the same holder when several cables need to follow the same path along a dock.
- Power cords
- Extension cords
- Lighting cables
- Waterfront equipment wiring
- Multiple smaller cables in one holder
Use MagnaClips wherever you need a removable cord-management point along suitable dock framing or another surface capable of accepting the mounting bracket.
The steel bracket remains on the dock while the MagnaClip stays attached to the cable, allowing the cord assembly to be removed independently.
Leave the MagnaClips Attached to Your Cords
When dock equipment comes out for the season, separate the magnetic holders from the steel brackets and leave the MagnaClips on the cords.
When the next season begins, your clips are already positioned. Return the equipment to the dock and snap the magnets back onto their mounting brackets.
The seasonal process eliminates the need to remove and reinstall individual cord clips every year.
A Simple, Cleaner Way to Manage Dock Cords
MagnaClips organize dock power cords, extension cords, lighting cables and other waterfront wiring without permanently attaching the cord itself to the dock.
Mount the brackets once, leave the holders on your cords during seasonal storage and snap everything back into place when your waterfront equipment returns.

Installation & Use
How to Install and Use MagnaClips
Choose a protected mounting location, secure the steel brackets and snap the magnetic cord holders into position.
Plan Your Cord Route
Determine where the cord should run along the dock and identify mounting points that keep the cable organized and away from walking areas.
Choose Protected Locations
Behind dock rails, framing or another protected area is recommended to keep the installation less visible and reduce unnecessary exposure.
Install the Steel Brackets
Mount each ferritic steel bracket using the included marine-grade adhesive or customer-provided screws.
Place the Cord in the Holder
Secure a cord up to 1 inch in diameter inside the MagnaClip. Multiple smaller cords can also share one holder when appropriate.
Snap Onto the Bracket
Place the magnetic base against the installed ferritic steel bracket. Approximately 20 lb of magnetic pull strength keeps it connected during normal use.
Reposition When Needed
Pull the magnetic holder away from the bracket whenever the cable needs to be accessed, moved or removed from the dock.
Marine-grade adhesive is included for applications where adhesive attachment is the preferred mounting method.
The brackets can also be mechanically secured with screws supplied by the customer when the dock surface and installation allow it.
Seasonal Storage
Leave MagnaClips Attached to the Cords During Storage
MagnaClips are designed to simplify seasonal dock equipment removal and reinstallation.
Remove the Cord Assembly
When waterfront equipment comes out for the season, pull the magnetic MagnaClip holders away from the steel dock brackets.
Leave Clips on the Cords
Keep the MagnaClips attached to the individual power cords, lighting cables or extension cords during off-season storage.
Snap Back Into Place
When equipment returns to the dock, place the magnets back onto the installed steel brackets.
The mounting brackets stay at the dock while the magnetic holders remain positioned on the cords, helping make seasonal setup faster and more consistent.
FAQs
MagnaClip Magnetic Cord Management FAQs
Find answers about cord size, magnetic strength, mounting, seasonal storage and dock installation.
What is MagnaClip designed to do?
MagnaClip is a magnetic cord management system designed to secure and organize power cords, extension cords, lighting cables and other dock or waterfront wiring.
What size cords fit inside MagnaClips?
Each holder accommodates cords up to approximately 1 inch in diameter.
Can one MagnaClip hold more than one cord?
Yes. Multiple smaller cords can fit inside the same holder when their combined size fits properly within the clip.
How strong are the magnets?
MagnaClips use approximately 20 lb of magnetic pull strength to hold the cord holder against the ferritic steel mounting bracket.
Why would the magnetic holder release from the bracket?
If a cord becomes caught or experiences extreme tension, the magnetic connection can release instead of staying permanently locked to the dock. This can help reduce excessive strain on the cord, plug, connection and connected dock equipment.
How are the mounting brackets installed?
The ferritic steel brackets can be installed using the included marine-grade adhesive or customer-provided screws.
Where should MagnaClips be installed on a dock?
Installation behind dock rails, framing or another protected location is recommended when possible. This helps keep cords tucked away, organized and less visible.
Are the magnets protected from waterfront conditions?
The magnets use a rubber coating intended to help protect them from moisture, weather exposure and corrosion.
