What does a dock de-icer do?
A de-icer is a submerged motor and propeller. It does not heat the water. It moves relatively warmer bottom water toward the surface and keeps it circulating, which helps keep open water around docks, boats, lifts, seawalls and slips.
Our Kasco Marine De-Icers are available in ½, ¾, and 1HP sizes and available in 120V (60 Hz), 240V (60 Hz), or 220V (50 Hz) power configurations to fit a variety of installations and applications. Each de-icer includes two 20 ft. suspension ropes for suspension installation.
