Description

Upgrade Your Existing AquaThruster™

Turn Your AquaThruster™ Into an Automated 0–360° Shoreline Management System

Already own a compatible AquaThruster™? The AquaThruster™ Nexa 360 Oscillator Attachment lets you reuse your existing motor while upgrading to the newest AquaThruster™ control, positioning, mounting, and automated oscillation system.

Instead of sending water in one fixed direction, the Nexa 360 can automatically sweep the AquaThruster™ back and forth through a programmed area of your waterfront. Set the left and right limits, and the system repeatedly moves powerful circulation across the lake bottom, swimming area, or shoreline you want to maintain.

The Nexa platform also adds keypad-controlled rotation and motor tilt, tool-free depth adjustment, Easy Lift Assist, Rapid Pivot motor access, integrated handles, a single square-tube frame, and the Quick-Attach one-pin mounting system.

The Nexa 360 Oscillator upgrades a compatible existing AquaThruster™ motor with automated sweep control, easier adjustments, and the Nexa Quick-Attach mounting system.

Keep the Motor. Upgrade Everything Around It.

Automate the Sweep Program any desired oscillation range from a narrow targeted area up to a full 360°.
Adjust From the Keypad Control rotation and motor tilt without manually repositioning the underwater motor.
Move It More Easily Integrated handles, Lift Assist, and Quick-Attach mounting reduce the hassle of repositioning the system.
Access the Motor Faster Rapid Pivot lets you raise the motor for propeller-cage inspection and routine maintenance.
Automated Shoreline Coverage

Sweep More Waterfront From One Mounting Position

A stationary AquaThruster™ sends its water current in one direction. The Nexa 360 automatically changes that direction by moving between two programmed stop points.

That allows one AquaThruster™ position to circulate across a broader section of your shoreline instead of forcing you to repeatedly stop, loosen hardware, redirect the motor, and restart the unit.

Program a narrow sweep to focus on one problem area or use a broader sweep when you want to circulate across a larger portion of your waterfront.

AquaThruster Nexa 360 features showing keypad control lift assist rapid pivot and automated oscillation
MUCK

Move Loose Bottom Muck

Sweep water movement across different sections of the bottom to help move loose organic sediment away from the maintained area.

WEEDS

Move Dead Vegetation

Direct circulation across decaying weeds and loose vegetation so material does not continue accumulating around the dock or swimming area.

FLOAT

Move Floating Debris

When positioned appropriately, the AquaThruster can move leaves, floating weeds, and other loose surface debris away from the waterfront.

SAND

Maintain Cleaner Bottoms

Regular circulation can help maintain sandy and firmer-bottom areas after initial loose buildup has been moved.

Power Cords

The Nexa 360 Uses Separate Motor & Oscillator Power Cords

Your AquaThruster™ motor keeps its existing motor power cord. The Nexa 360 oscillator and controller use a separate 110V oscillator power cord.

That means a Nexa installation can have two long waterfront cables running between the water and electrical source.

AquaThruster Motor Cord

Supplies power to the underwater AquaThruster™ motor that produces the water movement.

Nexa Oscillator Cord

Supplies power to the Nexa 360 control and oscillation system.

50–200 ft Oscillator Options

Current oscillator cord selections include 50 ft., 100 ft., 150 ft., and 200 ft.

Protect & Organize Both

Protective Cord Wrap and MagnaClips can be used together to create a cleaner and better-protected two-cord Nexa installation.

Recommended Accessories

Recommended AquaThruster Accessories

Protect the Cords. Then Keep Them Organized.

The Nexa 360 uses separate power cords for the AquaThruster™ motor and oscillator/controller. Our two recommended cord accessories solve two different problems: Protective Cord Wrap shields the cable itself, while MagnaClips route and organize the cords along your dock.

Match the Cord Wrap to the specific cable and cord length you want to protect. Nexa owners may want separate wrap for both the motor cord and oscillator cord.

Shop Protective Cord Wrap

Best Protection: Use Both Together

Step 1: Protect Use Protective Cord Wrap around sections of cable exposed to abrasive shoreline and dock conditions.
Step 2: Organize Use MagnaClips along compatible dock framing to keep the protected cords routed neatly and out of common walking areas.
Motor Cord Protect and route the AquaThruster motor's separate power cable.
Oscillator Cord Protect and route the separate Nexa oscillator/controller cable.
MagnaClips and Protective Cord Wrap do different jobs. Cord Wrap helps protect the cable jacket from abrasion and environmental wear. MagnaClips manage the route of the cable along the dock. Using both creates the most complete AquaThruster cord-protection and cord-management setup.

Programming

How to Program the AquaThruster™ Nexa 360 Sweep

Programming establishes two stop points representing the left and right boundaries of the waterfront area you want the AquaThruster to cover.

  1. Confirm power.
Plug in the controller and verify that the green Power indicator is illuminated.
  2. Enter Setup Mode.
Press and hold the Setup button until the Setup indicator turns amber, then release.
  3. Set the first stop.
Use the left arrow to rotate the AquaThruster toward the first edge of the area you want to sweep. Short taps allow finer positioning.
  4. Save the first stop.
Press Setup once to store the first sweep limit.
  5. Set the second stop.
Use the right arrow to move the unit toward the opposite edge of the desired coverage area.
  6. Save the second stop.
Press Setup once to save the second sweep limit and exit programming mode.
  7. Test the sweep.
Operate the AquaThruster and confirm that the unit travels between the two programmed limits.
  8. Adjust when needed.
Repeat the programming process whenever you want to change the covered area.
You do not have to use all 360 degrees. Set a narrow sweep for a concentrated problem area or a wider sweep when you want the current to travel across more of the shoreline.
Keep the operating area clear while programming. Secure the AquaThruster properly and keep hands, loose cords, tools, vegetation, and other obstructions away from moving components.

FAQs

AquaThruster™ Nexa 360 Oscillator FAQs

What exactly am I buying on this page?

This page is for the AquaThruster Nexa 360 oscillator and control upgrade. The AquaThruster water-moving motor is not included.

Can I use my existing AquaThruster motor?

Yes, that is the primary purpose of this upgrade. Compatible AquaThruster owners can reuse their existing motor while upgrading to the Nexa oscillation, adjustment, control, and mounting system.

Will the Nexa 360 work with a 2 HP AquaThruster?

The current complete Nexa 360 configuration does not support the 2 HP motor. Contact Weeders Digest before purchasing this upgrade if you own a 2 HP AquaThruster.

What does the 360° oscillator do?

It automatically rotates the AquaThruster between two programmed stop points instead of leaving the motor pointed in one fixed direction.

Do I have to use the full 360° range?

No. Program any desired sweep within the available range. A narrow sweep can target one problem area while a wider sweep covers more waterfront.

How difficult is the oscillator to program?

Programming consists of entering Setup mode, moving the unit to the first desired stop point, saving it, moving to the second stop point, and saving that position.

Can I adjust the motor angle without tools?

Motor tilt is controlled from the Nexa keypad. Depth and height adjustments use the Easy Lift Assist system with integrated handles and a marine-grade gas spring.

What is Rapid Pivot?

Rapid Pivot allows the lower AquaThruster assembly to be raised for easier propeller-cage inspection, cleaning, and routine maintenance.

Does the oscillator need its own power cord?

Yes. The AquaThruster motor and Nexa oscillator/controller are separately powered. Your motor retains its motor cord and the Nexa oscillator uses its own 110V cord.

What oscillator cord lengths are available?

Current choices include 50 ft., 100 ft., 150 ft., and 200 ft.

What is Protective Cord Wrap?

Protective Cord Wrap is a split PET braided sleeve that installs around an existing AquaThruster motor or oscillator power cord to add protection from abrasion, rock, sand, dock edges, sharp debris, and environmental wear.

Do I need to remove the plug to install Protective Cord Wrap?

No. The lateral split design opens around the existing power cable, so the factory plug does not need to be removed.

Can Protective Cord Wrap move with the Nexa oscillator?

Yes. The semi-rigid braided construction is designed to remain flexible enough to follow AquaThruster oscillator movement while protecting the cable.

Should I protect both Nexa cords?

The AquaThruster motor and Nexa oscillator/controller have separate power cords. If both cables are exposed to abrasive waterfront conditions, choose the appropriate Protective Cord Wrap for each cord and length.

What are MagnaClips?

MagnaClips are magnetic cord holders designed to organize AquaThruster and other waterfront power cords along dock framing.

How much magnetic holding strength do MagnaClips have?

The current MagnaClip specification lists approximately 20 lb of magnetic pull strength per holder.

What size cord fits in a MagnaClip?

Each holder accommodates a cord up to approximately 1 inch in diameter. Multiple smaller cords can also share a holder when they fit properly.

Can I use MagnaClips and Protective Cord Wrap together?

Yes, and that is the recommended approach when you want both protection and organization. Protective Cord Wrap protects the cable from abrasion while MagnaClips route the protected cables along compatible dock framing.

Where should MagnaClips be installed?

For dock applications, install the mounting brackets behind dock rails, framing, or another protected location whenever possible so the cords remain organized and less visible.

Can MagnaClips stay on the cords during winter storage?

Yes. Remove the magnetic holders from their dock brackets while leaving the holders attached to the cords for seasonal storage. The brackets can remain installed at the dock.

Which Nexa mount should I choose?

Choose the Dock Plate Mount for a secure dock installation where drilling is acceptable, the Dock Post Mount for compatible round or square dock posts, the Truss Dock Mount for truss-style docks, or the Bottom Frame when you want a freestanding installation away from the dock.

Do Original AquaThruster mounts automatically work with Nexa?

No. The Nexa 360 uses its own Quick-Attach mounting system. Select a compatible Nexa mount for the installation.

Where can I get help confirming compatibility?

Call Weeders Digest Product Support at 877-224-4899 with your AquaThruster motor size, dock type, post dimensions, water depth, and photos of the installation area.
