What Makes the Nexa 360 Different?

What Makes the AquaThruster™ Nexa 360 Oscillator a Must-Have Upgrade?

The Nexa 360 isn’t just an improvement. It is a redesigned AquaThruster control and mounting system focused on making shoreline maintenance faster, easier and more convenient.

01

360° Automated Control

Program the oscillator to sweep any desired range from 0–360°. The advanced keypad also allows motor tilt adjustments without manually repositioning the underwater motor.

02

Faster, Easier Setup

The Quick-Attach Mounting System allows the Nexa 360 assembly to connect to or release from a compatible mount using a one-pin connection.

03

Ultimate Portability

Integrated lifting handles make moving the Nexa 360 between compatible mounting locations easier when you want to maintain multiple waterfront areas.

04

Improved Stability

The patented single square tube frame replaces the traditional round-tube design and helps eliminate torque twist for more stable operation.

05

Tool-Free Depth Adjustment

Easy Lift Assist combines integrated handles with a marine-grade gas spring to help raise or lower the motor assembly with minimal effort and no adjustment tools.

06

Rapid Pivot System

Quickly pivot the motor upward for easier propeller-cage inspection, cleaning and routine maintenance without fully uninstalling the entire unit.

07

Advanced Electronics

The Nexa electronics use self-resetting circuit protection designed to reduce operating interruptions after certain electrical events.

08

Enhanced Security

The Nexa 360 includes a padlock-capable locking point to help secure the unit at cabins, marinas, vacation homes and other waterfront properties.

AquaThruster Nexa 360 features including keypad control, gas spring lift assist, square tube frame, quick release, automated tilt and oscillation
Automated Shoreline Coverage

Sweep More of Your Waterfront From One Mounting Position

A stationary AquaThruster moves water in one fixed direction. Adding programmable oscillation allows that powerful current to automatically sweep back and forth across a much larger section of your shoreline.

Move Bottom Muck

Direct powerful water movement across different sections of the bottom to help move loose muck, sludge and organic sediment away from the maintained area.

Manage Dead Vegetation

Sweep dead weeds and decaying organic vegetation away instead of allowing it to continue accumulating near your shoreline.

Move Floating Debris

Adjust the motor upward when appropriate to move leaves, floating weeds and other surface debris away from docks and swimming areas.

Maintain a Firmer Bottom

Regular circulation can help maintain cleaner sandy and hard-bottom areas after the initial buildup has been moved away.

Recommended AquaThruster Accessory

Keep AquaThruster Cords Organized With MagnaClips

The AquaThruster Nexa 360 uses separate power cords for the AquaThruster motor and the Nexa oscillator/controller. MagnaClips can be used alongside your AquaThruster setup to route those cords neatly along your dock instead of leaving them hanging, exposed, or crossing walking areas.

MagnaClips are magnetic cord holders that attach to ferritic steel mounting brackets. Install the brackets behind dock rails, framing, or another protected area using the included marine-grade adhesive or customer-provided screws, then snap the magnetic holders into place.

  • Helps keep AquaThruster motor and oscillator cords tidy and out of the way
  • Fits cords up to 1 inch in diameter
  • Multiple smaller cords can fit inside one holder
  • Approximately 20 lb magnetic pull strength
  • Magnetic holder can release under extreme cord tension
  • Rubber-coated magnets help protect against moisture and weather exposure
  • Leave MagnaClips attached to the cords during seasonal storage
MagnaClips magnetic cord management accessory for AquaThruster dock power cords
A clean add-on for dock-mounted AquaThruster installations.

The steel mounting brackets stay on the dock while the magnetic holders can stay attached to your AquaThruster cords. At the end of the season, pull the magnets from the brackets and store the cords with the MagnaClips still in place.

What You Need to Upgrade to the Nexa 360

This product is intended primarily for AquaThruster owners who already have the motor and want to upgrade to the Nexa 360 oscillator and mounting platform.

Included

Nexa 360 Oscillator

The oscillator/control assembly is the primary product being purchased on this page.

Choose

Oscillator Cord Length

Select 50 ft., 100 ft., 150 ft. or 200 ft. based on the distance from the Nexa controller to the electrical source.

Needed

AquaThruster Motor

The lake muck blower motor is not included on this page. You need an existing compatible AquaThruster motor or must purchase the complete Nexa system.

Needed

Nexa Mount

A compatible Nexa 360 mounting option is required to use the Quick-Attach system.

!
Own a 2 HP AquaThruster?

The current complete AquaThruster Nexa 360 configuration does not support the 2 HP motor. If your existing AquaThruster is 2 HP, contact Weeders Digest before ordering this oscillator upgrade to confirm the correct solution for your system.

The Nexa system uses separate power cords.

Your AquaThruster motor retains its motor power cord, while the Nexa 360 oscillator/controller has its own power cord. Select an oscillator cord length that works for your installation. MagnaClips can be used as an optional cord-management accessory to help route both cords neatly along compatible dock framing.

Do not already own an AquaThruster?

Purchase the complete AquaThruster Nexa 360 instead. The complete product page lets you select the motor horsepower, motor cord length, oscillator configuration and mounting option together.

Setup & Programming

Set Your Sweep Range

How to Program the AquaThruster Nexa 360 Oscillator

Programming sets two stop points: one on each side of the waterfront area you want the AquaThruster to sweep.

1

Confirm Power

Plug in the controller and confirm that the green Power indicator is illuminated before beginning programming.

2

Enter Setup Mode

Press and hold the Setup button until the Setup indicator turns amber, then release the button.

3

Set the First Stop

Use the left arrow to rotate the AquaThruster toward the first side of the desired sweep. Use short taps for fine positioning.

4

Save the First Stop

Press Setup once to save the first sweep-limit position.

5

Set the Second Stop

Use the right arrow to rotate the unit to the opposite side of the area you want to cover.

6

Save & Exit

Press Setup once to save the second stop point and exit programming mode.

7

Test the Sweep

Run the AquaThruster and watch it travel between both programmed stop points.

8

Reprogram if Needed

If you want a different sweep range, repeat the complete programming process and set both stop points again.

Programming can be anywhere from a narrow sweep to 360°.

Set the two stop points around the portion of your shoreline you want the water current to cover. You do not have to use the full 360° range.

Before programming

Mount the AquaThruster securely, keep hands, cords, tools and debris away from moving components, and make sure you have a clear view of the unit while setting its sweep limits.

Mount Options

AquaThruster Nexa 360 Mounts

Choose the Nexa Mount That Fits Your Dock or Shoreline

Nexa mounts use the Quick-Attach system so the main Nexa assembly can be installed or removed quickly with the one-pin connection.

AquaThruster Nexa 360 Dock Plate Mount

Dock Plate Mount

The Dock Plate Mount connects to both the top and side of your dock using bolts. It's a great choice if you don't need to move it often.

  • Ideal for wood & aluminum docks and people who are able to drill holes in the decking and side of their dock.
  • Designed for the AquaThruster™ Nexa 360 only.
AquaThruster Nexa 360 Dock Post Mount

Dock Post Mount

The Dock Post Mount attaches to your dock post or leg. It can be attached above or below your dock's surface, allowing for a larger usable depth range.

  • Easy to move from post to post as needed.
  • Fits square and round dock posts up to 4" wide.
  • Designed for the AquaThruster™ Nexa 360 only.
AquaThruster Nexa 360 Truss Dock Mount

Truss Dock Mount

The Nexa Truss Dock Mount is designed for truss-style docks and provides a secure Quick-Attach mounting point along the dock structure.

AquaThruster Nexa 360 Bottom Frame freestanding shoreline mount

Bottom Frame

Bottom Frame for the AquaThruster™ Nexa 360 is a freestanding mount which enables you to position your unit anywhere along your shoreline and move it around as needed.

This is the best Nexa mounting direction when you want programmable oscillation without permanently attaching the AquaThruster to a dock.

Not sure which mount you need?

Dock construction, post size, water depth, motor size and whether you want to relocate the AquaThruster can all affect the best mount choice.

Accessories

Recommended AquaThruster Accessory

MagnaClips Magnetic Cord Management System

Keep AquaThruster power cords organized, secure, and less visible along your dock with MagnaClips.

MagnaClips magnetic cord management system for AquaThruster power cords

Organize the Two-Cord Nexa 360 Setup

The AquaThruster motor and Nexa 360 oscillator/controller use separate power cords. MagnaClips give you a simple way to manage those cables along dock rails, framing, and other suitable mounting surfaces.

  • Fits cords up to 1 inch in diameter
  • Can hold multiple smaller cords in one clip
  • Approximately 20 lb magnetic pull strength
  • Ferritic steel mounting brackets
  • Marine-grade adhesive included
  • Can also be mounted with customer-provided screws
  • Rubber-coated magnets
  • Designed for easy seasonal removal and reinstallation
Magnetic release helps reduce strain if a cord gets caught.

During normal use, the magnets hold the cord holders securely against their steel brackets. If a cord experiences extreme tension, the magnetic holder is designed to release from the bracket instead of remaining permanently locked in place, helping reduce excessive strain on the cord, connections, dock, and connected accessories.

Recommended installation

For dock applications, install MagnaClips behind dock rails, framing, or other protected locations whenever possible to keep AquaThruster wiring organized and less visible.

FAQs

Common Buyer Questions

AquaThruster Nexa 360 Oscillator FAQs

Answers to the most important questions to consider before upgrading an existing AquaThruster to the Nexa 360.

What exactly is included when I buy the Nexa 360 Oscillator Attachment?

This product page is for the AquaThruster Nexa 360 oscillator/control assembly. The AquaThruster lake muck blower motor is not included.

A Nexa-compatible mounting option is also required and should be selected separately if you do not already have the correct Nexa mount.

Can I use my existing AquaThruster motor with the Nexa 360 upgrade?

That is the purpose of this upgrade. The Nexa 360 Oscillator is intended to let current AquaThruster owners reuse a compatible existing motor while upgrading the mounting, adjustment and oscillation system.

If you have an older unit or are unsure of your motor model, contact Weeders Digest before ordering so compatibility can be confirmed.

Will the Nexa 360 work with my 2 HP AquaThruster?

The current complete Nexa 360 product configuration does not support the 2 HP AquaThruster motor. If your existing motor is 2 HP, contact Weeders Digest before ordering this upgrade.

What does the 360-degree oscillator actually do?

Instead of directing the AquaThruster current in one fixed direction, the oscillator automatically sweeps the motor back and forth between two programmed stop points.

This allows one mounting location to direct circulation across a broader portion of your shoreline, swimming area or lake bottom.

Do I have to program the full 360-degree rotation?

No. The oscillator can be programmed for any desired sweep from 0–360 degrees.

You set two stop points representing the left and right boundaries of the area you want the AquaThruster to sweep.

How difficult is the Nexa 360 to program?

Programming is designed to be straightforward. Enter Setup mode, use the arrow controls to position the AquaThruster at the first sweep limit, save that point, move to the opposite limit and save the second point.

After programming, the AquaThruster automatically travels between those two saved positions.

Can I adjust the motor angle and depth without tools?

Yes. Motor tilt can be adjusted from the Nexa keypad. Depth and height adjustment are handled through the Easy Lift Assist system using integrated handles and a marine-grade gas spring.

The design is intended to eliminate the repeated wrench-and-hardware adjustments associated with more traditional mounting systems.

Which Nexa 360 mount should I choose?

The Dock Plate Mount is a good choice for a secure installation on wood or aluminum docks where drilling is acceptable.

The Dock Post Mount is better when you want to attach to a round or square dock leg and relocate the system between posts. The Truss Dock Mount is designed for truss-style docks.

Choose the Bottom Frame when you want to use the Nexa 360 away from a dock or move the entire system to different shoreline locations.

Why does the Nexa 360 Oscillator have its own power cord?

The AquaThruster motor and the Nexa 360 oscillator/control system are separately powered components. Your existing motor retains its motor cord, while the Nexa oscillator uses its own 110V power cord.

Oscillator cord choices currently include 50 ft., 100 ft., 150 ft. and 200 ft.

For dock installations, MagnaClips can be added as a cord-management accessory to help keep the motor cord and oscillator cord organized along compatible dock framing.

Why would I upgrade instead of keeping my existing AquaThruster setup?

The core reason is convenience. You keep the proven water-moving performance of your compatible AquaThruster motor while adding programmable oscillation, keypad-controlled tilt, tool-free depth adjustment, Rapid Pivot access, Quick-Attach mounting and easier portability.

It is especially useful for waterfront owners who regularly adjust, inspect, move or reposition their AquaThruster and want those tasks to take less time and effort.
