Description

SEABOB F5 Underwater Jet Ski & Personal Diving Watercraft

SEABOB F5 Underwater Jet Ski Experience for Surface & Underwater Exploration

The SEABOB F5 is a high-performance electric personal diving watercraft that delivers the experience many riders imagine when searching for an underwater jet ski or underwater jetski. Its compact electric E-Jet system pulls you smoothly across the surface or beneath the water without using a conventional exposed propeller.

Unlike a traditional personal watercraft that remains on the surface, the SEABOB lets the rider transition from surface cruising to controlled underwater exploration. Hold the two Controlgrips, select your power level, and use your body position to steer, climb or descend.

A 2.5 kW underwater jet propulsion system produces up to 480 N of thrust across four selectable power levels. Maximum speed is approximately 8.7 mph on the surface and 8.1 mph underwater, depending on rider, water and operating conditions.

Whether you think of it as an electric underwater scooter, an underwater jet ski, an underwater jetski or a personal diving watercraft, SEABOB delivers a very different experience from a conventional surface-only jet ski.

The integrated lithium-ion battery provides approximately 50 minutes of average operating time. The standard charger takes approximately 8 hours, while the optional SEABOB Quick Charger reduces charging time to approximately 1.5 hours.

2. Accelerate Use the electronic controls to increase or decrease propulsion through four power levels.
3. Steer Shift your body and guide the nose to turn, climb or descend through the water.
4. Release to Stop Release the drive trigger to stop powered thrust and allow water resistance to slow the craft.
Electric Underwater Watercraft

More Than an Underwater Jetski

The SEABOB F5 can be used on the surface for fast recreational riding or beneath the water for snorkeling and underwater exploration.

Its compact underwater jet system draws water through the craft and accelerates it through an internal jet channel to generate propulsion. This gives riders strong thrust without a conventional exposed outboard-style propeller.

People searching for a jet ski underwater experience are often looking for a craft capable of transitioning below the surface. That is where the SEABOB differs from a traditional jet ski. It is specifically designed to move both across and underneath the water.

The F5 also has positive buoyancy and is designed to return toward the surface when unpowered, while its electronic depth-control system provides an additional programmable safety layer for underwater use.

SURFACE

Can a jet ski go underwater?

A conventional personal watercraft is designed to remain on the surface. If you are searching for a jet ski underwater experience, the SEABOB is fundamentally different because its hydrodynamic body and electric propulsion system are designed specifically for underwater operation.

Is an under water jetski the same as a SEABOB?

People sometimes search for an under water jetski when looking for products like SEABOB. The F5 is more accurately described as an electric underwater scooter or personal diving watercraft rather than a conventional jet ski.

What does the German term unterwasser jetski refer to?

Unterwasser jetski is a German-language search phrase for an underwater jet ski or underwater scooter. SEABOB is one of the best-known examples of this type of electric personal diving watercraft.

What is a SEABOB F5?

The SEABOB F5 is an electric personal diving watercraft that pulls the rider across the surface or below it using an integrated underwater jet propulsion system.

How does the SEABOB underwater jet work?

The E-Jet system draws water through protected inlets and accelerates it through an internal jet channel. These underwater jets of moving water create the thrust that propels the F5 and rider forward.

Does SEABOB use an under water jet instead of a propeller?

The F5 uses an enclosed under water jet propulsion system rather than a conventional exposed outboard-style propeller. The intake and internal moving components still require all safety precautions in the Operator's Manual.

How fast is the SEABOB F5?

Maximum speed is approximately 14 km/h or 8.7 mph on the surface and approximately 13 km/h or 8.1 mph underwater, depending on operating conditions.

Only where the pool is large enough, use is permitted, and safe separation from swimmers, walls and other objects can be maintained.

How do you steer a SEABOB?

Hold both Controlgrips and use your body position to guide the watercraft. Moving the nose up, down or sideways changes the direction of travel.

How do you stop the SEABOB?

Release the propulsion trigger while continuing to maintain control of both grips. Powered thrust stops and water resistance slows the craft.

Does the SEABOB have an exposed propeller?

The propulsion system is housed inside the E-Jet channel rather than using a conventional exposed outboard-style propeller. The jet intake and moving internal components still require strict safety precautions.

Can I reach into the underwater jet intake?

No. Never place fingers, hands, hair, clothing or other objects into the underwater jet channel or protective openings.

How much does the F5 weigh?

The SEABOB F5 weighs approximately 29 kg, or about 64 lb.

What are the dimensions?

The F5 measures approximately 1,152 × 507 × 372 mm, or about 45.4 × 20.0 × 14.6 inches.

Can I take a SEABOB on an airplane?

The F5 contains a high-energy lithium-ion battery and has specific Air Transport / Storage procedures. Airline and hazardous-material rules can restrict transportation. Follow the Operator's Manual and confirm requirements directly with the carrier before travel.

How should I clean the SEABOB?

Switch it off, remove it from the water and rinse salt, sand and debris away using clean fresh water from a low-pressure source. Pay particular attention to the underwater jet inlet and outlet areas.

Should I rinse it after every use?

Yes. Fresh-water rinsing is an important part of normal care, especially after riding in salt water.
