All Kasco Surface Aerators are self-contained, lightweight units that float at the surface. With just two or three mooring lines anchoring the unit and a single power cord running to shore, these units are easily installed and maintained by a single person.

What size unit do I need for my pond?

As a guideline, use about ½ HP per surface acre for typical pond use. Larger units (1‑2 HP or more) suit deeper or heavily loaded water bodies. Contact a sales consultant for guidance

How shallow of water can it operate in?

Some Kasco models operate in depths as low as 15‑19 inches (≈ 1.25‑1.6 ft) depending on model.

What is the power/amp draw to watch out for?

No—the unit floats, is moored with 2‑3 ropes, and has a single power cord returning to shore. Setup can be done by one person.

What maintenance is required?

Periodically clean the motor housing, check the sacrificial anode for corrosion, inspect moorings and power cord. Low maintenance overall.

Does it work in saltwater or harsh conditions?

Yes—many models feature corrosion‑resistant stainless‑steel and are built for freshwater, brackish or saltwater use.

How many cord length options are available?

Power cord lengths are available from 50 ft up to 400 ft depending on application and model.

Will it fit small ponds or is it only for large lakes?

It fits a wide range—models start at ½ HP (for smaller ponds) and scale up. You just need to size for your acreage, depth, and load. Contact a sales consultant for guidance.

What warranty coverage does it have?

Warranty is 2 years for ½, ¾ and 1 HP units; 3 years for 2, 3 and 5 HP units.
