Extra Large Heavy Duty Lake Weed Rake with Long Teeth
Rake Zilla is multipurpose, heavy duty lake & pond aquatic weed raker / removal tool. This 3 ft wide rake is the best rake for managing and removing seaweed, algae, leaves twigs as well as many other applications. Its unique design also makes it easy to collect and scoop heavy piles of underwater weeds along your beach. Rake Zilla can also be used to remove floating weeds, algae and debris by skimming the surface using the optional detacheable floats.
Rake Zilla's 9-inch long heavy duty tines can hall in heavy loads of dead vegetation as well as dig down and pull weed stems and roots from the beach bottom. The rake teeth also extend above the top of the rake giving you the perfect tool for grooming and leveling your beach sand.
The rake comes standard with a two-piece 7 ft handle but you can add an optional extension for a total of 11 ft. The ergonominc curved handle grip makes it easier on your body than most rakes. It also makes it easier to pull in larger loads and clean your shoreline faster with less effort.
We recommend adding the Weed Shear lake weed cutter as it makes for an affordable companion tool for cutting, clearing and getting rid of weeds in your lake or pond.

I live on a heavily weeded lake in MN. I routinely harvest 500 pounds of weeds a week. The Rake Zilla performs very well. It is light but strong. It is easily assembled. The teeth are spaced to capture a large number of weeds on every pass. The float attachment is handy for skimming floating weeds, on the surface. In the past I have used a landscape rake which was very heavy and hard to handle. The monster rake is a much better solution.
I used the rake at the 7' length w/o the flotation tubes to rake up leaves floating and laying decaying on the bottom of the lake bed. The rake worked well to pick up the floating and submerged leaves. I pulled the load to the shoreline, then picked the rake up vertically and with one hand carried the load over to my pile.
I also used the rake with just the small flotation tube attached across the rake with Velcro strips to pick up lake weeds along a metal seawall and a seawall of small boulders. I was able to start at the furthest point of where the weeds lay along the seawall and pull the weeds along the seawall down to the other end - pulling most of the weeds together in one large cluster and then pull them all onto shore.
I have the extension to make the 7' pole an 11' pole but I have not used it yet. But I think it will be handy to have the ability to reach farther into the lake and will not be too unwieldy to use.
Only issue is my hands were black from handling the aluminum rake. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the purchase.
