    Rake Zilla

Hydrilla has begun growing around my boat house and this rake harvests it quite well. I'm glad to have this rake as this weed grows at a tremendous rate and I will be using it frequently.

The monster rake is a much better solution.

I live on a heavily weeded lake in MN. I routinely harvest 500 pounds of weeds a week. The Rake Zilla performs very well. It is light but strong. It is easily assembled. The teeth are spaced to capture a large number of weeds on every pass. The float attachment is handy for skimming floating weeds, on the surface. In the past I have used a landscape rake which was very heavy and hard to handle. The monster rake is a much better solution.

    Rake Zilla

I used the rake at the 7' length w/o the flotation tubes to rake up leaves floating and laying decaying on the bottom of the lake bed. The rake worked well to pick up the floating and submerged leaves. I pulled the load to the shoreline, then picked the rake up vertically and with one hand carried the load over to my pile. I also used the rake with just the small flotation tube attached across the rake with Velcro strips to pick up lake weeds along a metal seawall and a seawall of small boulders. I was able to start at the furthest point of where the weeds lay along the seawall and pull the weeds along the seawall down to the other end - pulling most of the weeds together in one large cluster and then pull them all onto shore. I have the extension to make the 7' pole an 11' pole but I have not used it yet. But I think it will be handy to have the ability to reach farther into the lake and will not be too unwieldy to use. Only issue is my hands were black from handling the aluminum rake. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the purchase.
