Lakes: Pellets can be distributed into a lake by a fertilizer spreader attached to the back of the boat. Pellets are typically 1/10th to 1/20th of the cost of dredging.
Decorative Ponds: Pellets are a nice way to keep the pond in check and keep muck to a minimum.
Retention Ponds: Retention ponds start out nice and beautiful and after a few years they become loaded with floating organic matter and muck. Shore Tech Black Label Pellets are an easy way to help balance them out and reduce muck. These pellets will also work well in retention ponds that may have a lot of road salt. A biologically cleaned pond is a happy pond. A mechanically cleaned pond can often be unhappy for some time as it tries to find biological balance.
Golf Courses: Golf courses can get a lot of muck due to runoff, high nutrient loadings, and leaf and grass waste. Our Pellets are an easy and affordable way to keep golf course ponds free of muck and more importantly to help keep them biologically balanced.
Shorelines: Used by homeowners to reduce muck around the shoreline. Just sprinkle some pellets around a dock once a month and let them sink into the muck. Month by month the lake bottom will clean up. Many customers have called them little vacuum cleaners as they see the muck reduce.
Aquaculture: Used to degrade fish poop that accumulates in the bottom of a pond. Our Pellets have proven to be economical and efficient for fish farmers who want to minimize muck accumulation as an alternative to dredging.

I can now see clear areas at the bottom of the pond as well as see my ducks' feet as they paddle along.
Last year (2018) I purchased 50 lbs. of muck reducer and distributed around our dock around the end of July. We had muck that would go up to your knees. As the summer turned to fall I wrote this experiment as a good effort but no cigar! This summer when our grandchildren went into the lake they all stated that the muck was just about gone. What a pleasant surprise. It really worked.
Worked well. Seen results in 2 1/2 weeks
Been using this two years now, and excellent results! You have to be patient, because it is slow, but given time the muck goes away.
For the past two seasons I have used shoretec on my new lake home beach. I started with 12 inches of muck at the shoreline and through consistent treatment and manual weed removal, I now have two dock lengths of hard bottom that my wife can even enjoy. Great product!
I tried 3 other brands of pellets over the last year and finally think that I have found one that works well! Near my shoreline I had about 2 inches of muck and I can now see the bottom! Out deeper by the end of my dock I have much more but can tell the pellets are reducing them - Its been about 1 month and I am very pleased so far.
It works best on smaller amounts of muck on bottom after about a week. I find a little expensive.
