Where Teich-Aire Compressors Are Used

Kasco lists applications including ponds, lakes, golf course ponds, fish farms, water treatment and harsh industrial settings.

  • Replacement compressor for Kasco Robust-Aire and Home Series systems
  • Upgrade for non-Kasco diffused aeration systems

Airflow by Model (CFM)

Airflow drops as back pressure rises (deeper diffusers mean more pressure). Kasco's published figures:

1/4 HP (KM-60C / KM-60HC): 3.8 CFM at 0 PSI, 2.9 CFM at 20 PSI, 2.2 CFM at 50 PSI.

1/2 HP (KM-120C / KM-120HC): 5.5 CFM at 0 PSI, 4.2 CFM at 20 PSI, 2.7 CFM at 50 PSI.

3/4 HP (KM-200C / KM-200HC): 7.4 CFM at 0 PSI, 6.4 CFM at 20 PSI, 5.0 CFM at 50 PSI.

FAQs

Common Questions

Teich-Aire Rocking Piston Compressors FAQs

Answers to common questions about the Teich-Aire Rocking Piston Compressors.

What is the difference between the 120 V and 230 V options?

Both are the same compressor wound for different supply voltages. Kasco rates them 115 V (60 Hz) and 208-240 V (50/60 Hz); the higher-voltage models draw roughly half the amps.

Does the compressor need oil?

No. Teich-Aire compressors are an oil-less rocking piston design.

Can I use a Teich-Aire in a non-Kasco aeration system?

Yes. Kasco says Teich-Aire compressors can replace old or damaged compressors and upgrade non-Kasco diffused aeration systems.

Which size do I need?

It depends on how many diffusers you run and how deep they sit. More depth means more back pressure and less airflow. Call the Weeders Digest team at 877-224-4899 and we will help you size it.

Is it designed to run all the time?

Yes. Kasco designs Teich-Aire compressors for continuous, year-round aeration.

Does it have overload protection?

Yes, each compressor has thermal overload protection and a ramped valve plate that lets it restart under load.
