Remote-Controlled Lake & Pond Weed Cutter

Cut, Collect and Move Aquatic Weeds From Shore

WaterShark is a remote-controlled, lithium battery-powered aquatic weed cutting machine designed for submerged and emergent vegetation in lakes, ponds, channels, retention ponds and other difficult-to-access waterfront areas.

A 48-inch sickle cutting system reaches as deep as 5 feet, while the powered 6-foot collecting rake gathers cut vegetation and moves it toward shore. The onboard camera sends a live view to the remote-control screen so the operator can steer, cut and collect while remaining on land.

Cut Tough Aquatic Vegetation

Made for Submerged and Emergent Weeds

WaterShark uses horizontal and vertical sickle cutting blades to work through dense aquatic vegetation. The vertical cutter helps reduce vegetation from accumulating around the front cutting assembly as the machine moves forward.

The 48-inch cutting width and adjustable cutting depth allow WaterShark to work through submerged plants such as milfoil, curly-leaf pondweed and eel grass, along with emergent vegetation including cattails, bulrush, pencil reeds and lily-pad growth.

Operate From Shore

See What the WaterShark Sees

The mounted camera provides live video on the remote-control display. This first-person view helps you steer around docks, shoreline structures, vegetation beds and changing water depths without riding on the machine.

Steering, cutting depth and collecting-rake movement are controlled remotely, keeping the operator on shore while the WaterShark performs the work in the water.

CUT

Deep Weed Cutting

Cut vegetation across a 48-inch path at adjustable depths down to 60 inches.

RAKE

Powered Collection

A 6-foot rake gathers cut plant material and moves it toward the shoreline for disposal.

AUTO

Ground Stop Sensor

The cutting system responds to changing bottom contours to reduce unintended contact with the lake or pond bottom.

CAM

How It Works

How the WaterShark Cuts and Collects Lake Weeds

  1. Launch the WaterShark.
Position the machine at a suitable shoreline, ramp or dock-access point.
  2. Navigate to the vegetation.
Use the wireless remote and live camera feed to steer toward the area you want to clear.
  3. Lower the cutting assembly.
Set the sickle cutter to the depth needed for the target vegetation, up to 5 feet below the surface.
  4. Cut the vegetation.
Drive through the weed bed while the horizontal and vertical sickle blades cut submerged or emergent growth.
  5. Gather the cut plants.
Lower the powered rake to collect floating and recently cut vegetation.
  6. Move material to shore.
Transport the collected plant material back toward a suitable disposal area and unload it from the water.

WaterShark works along shoreline weed beds where submerged and emergent vegetation meet.
The powered rake is a collection tool, not a storage conveyor. WaterShark gathers and transports cut vegetation toward shore so the material can be removed from the water.

Cutting & Collection

What Types of Aquatic Weeds Does WaterShark Cut?

WaterShark is designed for both submerged and emergent aquatic vegetation. The combination of deep sickle cutting and a powered collecting rake makes it suited for thick plant growth where simple surface skimming is not enough.

Submerged Vegetation

  • Eurasian watermilfoil
  • Curly-leaf pondweed
  • Eel grass and similar submerged growth
  • Other dense submerged lake and pond weeds

Emergent Vegetation

  • Cattails
  • Bulrush
  • Pencil reeds
  • Other upright shoreline vegetation within the cutter's working range

Floating-Leaf Growth

  • Lily pads
  • Cut weed fragments
  • Floating vegetation produced during cutting

Powered Collecting Rake

The WaterShark rake measures 6 feet wide and extends more than 10 inches into the water. The remote-controlled mechanism raises and lowers the rake from 0 to 90 degrees so you can transition between travel and collection.

After cutting, use the rake to gather the vegetation, push or carry it toward shore, then remove the material from the water for disposal.

Check local aquatic vegetation rules before cutting. Regulations vary by state, province and waterbody. Some locations restrict cutting native plants, invasive species, emergent vegetation or work within designated aquatic plant zones.

Ground Stop Sensor

Automatic Bottom Protection

Follow Changing Bottom Contours

Water depth rarely stays consistent across a shoreline. The WaterShark Ground Stop Sensor helps the sickle assembly respond as the bottom rises or falls.

This feature reduces unintended bottom scraping and helps maintain a more consistent cutting position as the machine travels through shallow or unfamiliar areas.

The sensor does not replace operator attention. Continue watching water depth, obstacles and the live camera feed while operating.

Transport & Setup

Transporting and Launching the WaterShark

WaterShark was designed around transportability compared with full-size aquatic harvesting boats. Its mast folds down, gas springs assist with mast movement, and the current frame incorporates an easy-attach hitch for transport.
