Bent Swivel Plate: Connects the Motor and Sets Its Angle
The Bent Swivel Plate attaches the Original AquaThruster™ to the oscillator and controls the angle of the motor. Replace a plate that is bent out of shape, cracked, corroded or lost.
Motor angle matters. The AquaThruster™ works best pointed nearly horizontal and slightly tipped up, so it sends a current of water over the top of the muck line instead of dredging the bottom. The swivel plate is what lets you set and hold that angle.
Replacing the motor band too? The Underwater Kit with Bent Swivel Plate includes this plate and the stainless steel band.

Set the Right Angle
Nearly horizontal Point the motor nearly horizontal with a slight upward tilt.
Don’t dredge A slight upward angle keeps the current over the muck line.
Clean-out phase Bottom of the motor about 6–8 inches above the muck line.
Maintenance phase Bottom of the motor about 12–13 inches off the bottom.

What does the Bent Swivel Plate do?

At what angle should the motor be pointed?

Does it include the motor band?
No. The Underwater Kit with Bent Swivel Plate includes both the plate and the stainless band.
Does it fit the Nexa 360?
No. It is for the Original AquaThruster™.
Which AquaThruster™ do I have: Original 360 Oscillator or Nexa 360?
The Original AquaThruster™ uses the separate 360 Oscillator attachment, programmed from a white keypad on older units or a black keypad on newer units. The Nexa 360 is the newer integrated system with keypad-controlled rotation and motor tilt, Lift Assist and one-pin Quick-Attach mounting.
