Description

Aquatic Weed Harvester

Introducing the one and only Eco-Harvester! Generation 3.0 is the only machine in the world that both pulls aquatic vegetation by the root system and skims floating, weed fragments, weed mattes and algae blooms. Our Eco-Harvester has been sold all over the world and year to date (2026) we've sold over 110 units worldwide!   It is 95 % effective at uprooting most all types of submersed vegetation including milfoil, hydrilla, celery/alligator grass, starry stonewort, water chestnut, and most other aquatic plants prevalent in ponds, lakes, rivers, channels, canals, and water front property. The Eco-Harvester is easy to use and doesn’t require any technical training to operate like most other lake weed harvesters.  It is the most eco-friendly and least invasive method for removing lake weeds with minimal lake bottom disruption compared to other harvesters, herbicides & algaecides, dredging, and dewatering.  Best of all, it only requires one person to unload, operate, and trailer.  In essence it is a one-person operation from start to finish!

The Eco-Harvester is affordable for lake associations, conservation management, municipalities, and lake shore maintenance contractors because it is 2/3rd the cost of any other comparable weed harvester/cutter.

The Eco Harvester pulls weeds up from the roots, harvesting them to be recycled and reused as mulch or animal feed.  Its an environmentally friendly way to harvest aquatic plant and the only harvester that works in this manner.  ALL other aquatic weed harvesters cut the weeds! It is 95% effective at uprooting milfoil, hydrilla, celery grass, water chestnut, and most other aquatic plants prevalent in ponds, lakes, rivers, channels, canals, and beachfront property.

HOW THE ECO-HARVESTER PULLS & SKIMS AQUATIC WEEDS

Conceptually speaking, it is easy to understand that the Eco-Harvester “pulls” aquatic vegetation by the roots.  But how does it actually do it...pull aquatic vegetation by the root system you ask?

It is a good question and the answer is tied to the reason why the Eco-Harvester is patent protected.  If you haven't seen all of the videos of the Eco-Harvester pulling, skimming and collecting aquatic vegetation, floating weed mats, and algae blooms in the numerous videos, be sure to check them out HERE.

The main objective in developing the Eco-Harvester was for harvesting Euraision Milfoil but we were very excited to learn that this unique compact lake weed harvester could pull and remove nearly all kinds of submersed seaweed / aquatic vegetation. Continue reading at LakeWeedHarvester.com

FAQ

FAQs

What makes the Eco‑Harvester different from conventional weed cutting harvesters?

Instead of simply cutting weeds at their base, the Eco‑Harvester pulls aquatic vegetation by the root system, and also skims floating mats and debris.

What size of water body and what conditions is it effective in?

It’s suited for lakes, ponds, rivers, canals and waterfront property. It handles submerged vegetation like milfoil, hydrilla, water chestnut, and floating mats of algae and weed fragments.

How shallow can the Eco‑Harvester operate?

The machine can float in as little as 12” of water. It is typically used in water depths from 2’ - 10’ or wherever aquatic plants can grow.

How many operators are required and how complex is the operation?

It is built for one‑person operation from start to finish, making it more accessible for lakefront property owners or associations rather than large crews. No technical training is required.

What kinds of maintenance or running costs should I expect?

While exact costs aren’t listed on the page, fuel, oil changes, air filter changes, grease zirks and winterization are some of the factors impacting maintenance costs. Any competent small engine mechanic can access and work on the hydraulics.

Can the harvested weeds be reused or do they need disposal?

Yes—the machine pulls up vegetation so that the biomass can be used as fertilizer and compost.

What kind of logistic support is required for deploying the machine?

You’ll need a boat launch and vehicle with 5,000 lb towing capacity and a location, dump truck, or dump trailer for offloading biomass.

What are the environmental benefits of using this machine instead of dredging or chemicals?

It avoids chemical algaecides/herbicides and their ecological risks.

  • It removes root systems and biomass, reducing nutrient re‑cycling in the lake.
  • Minimal bottom disturbance compared to dredging.
What should I ask about parts, warranty and service?

The Eco-Harvester is backed by the industry standard one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

What issues should I consider before purchase?
  • Size of water body
  • Who will operate Eco-Harvester?
  • Storage when not in use.
  • How to dispose of the harvested biomass?
