Kasco C-25 Control Panel For Fountains, Circulators & Surface Aerators - 1/2, 3/4, and 1HP (120V)

Kasco's C-25 Control Panel is easy to install and quick to set up. Just plug into your regular 120 volt 15 Amp outlet and you are ready to connect both your fountain and your lights. The timer turns the fountain on, and when the fountain is running the photocell will turn the lights on at dusk. When the timer turns the fountain off, the lights turn off too.

It can be used for Kasco's JF, AF, and VFX series of floating aerating fountains and with any other manufacture's 120-volt equipment.

It has a 24-hour timer, GFCI protection, and a photoelectric controlled outlet for the fountain's lights.

FAQ

FAQs

What equipment is the C‑25 compatible with?

It is designed for 120 V single‑phase equipment with motor sizes from 1/2HP up to 1 HP. That includes many floating fountains, surface aerators, and circulators.

What are the key features of the control panel?

Major features include:

  • A 24‑hour mechanical timer to switch your unit on/off.
  • A GFCI outlet for safety, especially since it’s outdoors near water.
  • A photocell (photo‑sensor) outlet for optional lighting, so lights turn on at dusk when equipment is running.
How is installation done and what wiring is required?

The unit is “plug‑and‑go” for 120 V: you plug the control panel into a standard 15‑Amp GFCI receptacle. Then plug the fountain / aerator into the “unit” outlet and optional lights into the “light” outlet.
Note: No additional long power cord should be added beyond the manufacturer’s supplied cord—doing so voids ETL listing and warranty.

Where must the control panel be mounted and what precautions apply?

It must be mounted upright on a vertical surface/post, elevated above possible flooding/water splashes. The manual advises mounting so that the unit’s AC cord is not stretched and the bottom conduit entry is used for plugs. Also keep at least 5 ft from open water as a safety rule.

What settings do I program on the timer?

On the dial you set the current time, then push the “ON” trippers outward for each 15‑minute interval when you want the equipment to run. For example, setting four adjacent trippers gives a 1‑hour interval. The “AUTO/ON” switch should be on “AUTO” for timer‑controlled operation.

Can the lights run independently of the fountain or aerator?

No—the “light” outlet is only energized when the timer is in the ON state and the photocell senses darkness. If the timer is OFF, the lights won’t run.

What maintenance or checks are required for safe operation?

Monthly you should test the GFCI by pressing the “TEST” button—this should trip the unit; then press “RESET” to restore. If the test fails, unplug and service. Also inspect the enclosure, wiring, and ensure the timer dial is accurate.

Does the C‑25 include multiple outlets or just one unit outlet?

It includes one “UNIT” outlet (for the fountain/aerator) and one “LIGHT” outlet (for optional lighting). The light circuit is controlled by the photocell and timer logic combined.

What happens if I plug in a device drawing more than the rated amps?

The C‑25 panel is rated at 15 Amps at 120 V. Using equipment that draws more will likely trip the GFCI or cause nuisance tripping, may void warranty, and may not work reliably. Always match your motor load.

Is this control panel compatible with non‑Kasco equipment?

Yes—while it’s designed for Kasco fountains, circulators and aerators, it's compatible with any other manufacturer’s 120‑volt equipment, provided the motor size and load are appropriate.
