FAQ
FAQs
The lighting kit is typically sold separately. The fountain package includes the fountain motor, float, Bottom Screen, and nozzles. To get illuminated visuals at night you can add the lighting kit to the fountain.
The J Series fountains come with multiple interchangeable nozzles (e.g., Willow, Sequoia, Cypress, Linden, Birch) that produce different heights and widths of spray. Choose based on your pond/lake size and desired visual effect.
For the smallest J Series models (3/4 HP) the minimum depth is 17.5”. Required depth goes up as fountain HP gets larger (up to 28″ for 7.5 HP) to ensure the intake and float operate safely.
Fountain motors are available in 120V, 208‑240V, single or three‑phase depending on HP. Lighting kits are low‑voltage or UL listed for underwater use. Confirm your power availability and cord length before ordering.
Yes—lighting fixtures are sealed, UL/CSA listed, and housed in composite or stainless steel housings. Designed for underwater or splash zone use in fountains. Fountains should be removed from the water prior to freezing temps
The lighting draws additional amps, but the fountain motor itself remains the same. The LED kits are efficient, so incremental cost is minor compared to the overall system. Use timers or light sensors if you want to run the lights only after dusk.
Periodically rinse off debris on the float or screen, inspect the lighting fixtures for water intrusion, and check mooring lines. Replace nozzles or lenses as needed. Remove from water before any freezing conditions.
While decorative, the fountain also acts as a circulator and aerator—moving surface water, increasing oxygenation, and helping reduce stagnation.
- Choose a central or visually focal point on the lake.
- Ensure the float is stable and away from heavy debris.
- Use proper mooring lines and anchor points.
- Position lighting fixtures around the spray pattern for best effect.
- Turn off power before servicing.
