Kasco Robust-Aire Diffused Aeration System
A shore-mounted compressor sends air through self-weighted tubing to diffusers on the bottom, mixing your pond or lake from the bottom up. Designed for water 8 ft and deeper, with no electricity in the water.
Robust-Aire is made by Kasco Marine. Diffused aeration helps limit weed and algae growth, fish kills and winterkill, speeds the breakdown of organic muck, and can keep open water in winter to help prevent ice damage.
Choose the number of diffusers, 120 V or 208 V power, and a base mount cabinet, post mount cabinet or no cabinet.

How It Works
The compressor sits on shore and pushes air through weighted tubing to a diffuser on the bottom. Rising bubbles carry bottom water to the surface, circulating and aerating the whole water column.

Cabinet Options
Base mount cabinet: Kasco's AireGuard cabinets draw air through an external filter and use fans to keep the compressor cooler and cleaner, with external maintenance indicators and easy-to-remove panels. Small cabinets handle 1-3 diffusers, medium 4-6 and large 7-12.
Post mount cabinet: holds the compressor above ground on a wall or wooden post (post not included); offered for 1-3 diffuser systems.
No cabinet: compressor only, for 1-3 diffusers, if you already have a protected location for it.
Warranty
Kasco backs Robust-Aire with a lifetime warranty on the diffuser and cabinet, 15 years on tubing, 3 years on the compressor motor and 2 years on compressor piston cups and cylinders.

Robust-Aire™ systems pump compressed air from a shore-mounted compressor through self-weighted lines to a diffuser on the pond, lake or tank bottom. The diffuser then continuously releases micro-bubbles that rise to the surface carrying large volumes of water. This induces oxygen-transfer as well as beneficial water movement and mixing.
All Robust-Aire™ diffused aeration systems are available with an optional remote manifold allowing the compressor to be installed up to a mile away from the water’s edge.

How deep does my pond need to be?
Kasco designs Robust-Aire for depths of 8 ft and deeper.
Is there electricity in the water?
No. The compressor stays on shore and only air travels through the tubing to the diffusers.
Is tubing included?
On Kasco's 1-3 diffuser systems, tubing is included (one 100 ft roll per diffuser). Larger systems ship without tubing so it can be ordered to length.
Which cabinet should I choose?
The base mount cabinet protects, cools and filters the compressor. The post mount cabinet holds it off the ground on a wall or post. Choose no cabinet if you already have a sheltered spot for the compressor.
How far from the water can the compressor be?
With Kasco's optional remote manifold, the compressor can sit up to a mile from the water's edge.
How many diffusers do I need?

What is the warranty?

How is diffused aeration different from surface aeration or fountains?
Diffused aeration releases air at the pond bottom, gently lifting low-oxygen water upward and allowing it to mix with oxygen-rich surface water, which reduces harmful stratification. This slow, continuous circulation spreads dissolved oxygen more evenly throughout the water column, improving overall water quality and supporting fish health.
What size pond or lake is each Robust-Aire system designed to handle?
Each diffuser can effectively aerate about 1 to 1.5 acres of water up to 50 feet deep. Larger systems with multiple diffusers are needed for larger or irregularly shaped ponds.
Can I install this without running electricity near the water?
Yes. The compressor is placed onshore and can be placed up to one mile away from the shoreline using a manifold and trenching pvc tubing back to the compressor.
