Description
The Weed-Ripper: The Ultimate Lake & Pond Weed Puller
Tired of aquatic weeds taking over your waterfront, dock, or swimming area? Stop cutting weeds that grow back in weeks. The Weed-Ripper is the ultimate lake weed removal tool engineered to pull unwanted underwater vegetation out by the roots, providing a long-term solution for a cleaner, more enjoyable lake or pond.
By targeting the root system, the Weed-Ripper disrupts the growth cycle, meaning you'll spend less time clearing weeds and more time enjoying the water.
Get to the Root of Your Weed Problem
The Weed-Ripper's unique design is what sets it apart from simple cutters or rakes. It’s built to solve your weed problem, not just manage it.
-
Long-Lasting Results: Unlike cutters that simply trim the tops, our tool grabs and rips weeds out from the base. This slows regrowth dramatically, keeping your water clearer for longer.
-
Highly Effective on Rooted Weeds: Perfect for tackling stubborn underwater plants. If the weeds are too deeply rooted, the Weed-Ripper’s aggressive teeth will still remove them by cutting or ripping the stems close to the lakebed.
-
Eco-Friendly Weed Control: Reclaim your water without the use of harmful chemicals. The Weed-Ripper provides a powerful, manual, and environmentally safe solution for lake and pond weed management.
-
Improves Water Access: Easily clear paths for boats, create weed-free swimming zones, and clean up around your dock for better fishing and recreation.
The Perfect Tool For Clearing:
The Weed-Ripper works best on submerged aquatic weeds with stems under 1 inch in diameter. It is the ideal solution for removing:
-
Lily Pads (Water Lilies)
-
Pencil Reeds (Slender Spikerush)
-
Milfoil & Hydrilla
-
Eelgrass & Coontail
-
And most other common lake and pond vegetation
Important Note: Not for Cattails
The Weed-Ripper is designed for submerged aquatic plants and is not recommended for cutting emergent vegetation like Cattails. The fibrous, dense stalks of cattails require a specialized blade.
If you are looking for the best way to remove cattails, please visit our Cattail Cutters category for a full selection of purpose-built tools.

BEST RAKE I EVER USED. Cleared out lake frontage in half the time of regular rake.

Weed ripper
Easy to assemble. Doesn't grab so much you can't pull it in. Worked great for me!

You won’t be disappointed!
We just had our first work party with this tool and are very impressed. We have a 1 acre swimming pond that has been choked with long, fine weeds this year over about 2/3 of its area. We attached this cutter to an 80’ long rope and had one person paddle it out to the middle (where the depth is up to 12’ ) using a kayak, with another person on the shore to pull the rope. We are getting massive loads of weeds and roots with each pull—I would guess up to 100 lb at a time. It’s very satisfying! It will take many such pulls to clear the pond, but we’re happy to have found the right tool for the job.

Put to the test.......passed
Bought this to tackle Guntersville Lake Alabama floating eel grass. Lake is having historic levels of floating grass mounding up on our seawall. This tool is legit for handling this problem. Could not be more satisfied. Much easier to use than a short handled pitchfork, and the reach is extremely effective.

Weed ripper
The weed ripper works very well . I purchased the weeder with the extension poles. Turns out the rope was all I really needed. The extensions are somewhat difficult for me to use.
