Great Tool
Bought it to pull hydrilla around our HOA dock. Works so good, all the homeowners are taking turns using it until they can get their own.

Weed Ripper | Great tool, but I didn't think...
I purchased this tool for our family ponds after herbicides weren't effective on an infestation of dollar shield. I bought the 11ft version. Tested it with the extensions and handle and worked well. Didn't seem to get the roots I was hoping for though. So, I had the bright idea of attaching the rope to the short "throw" version and then pulling it in with the winch on our UTV. Great idea, not thought out though. The head of the ripper came out bent under the increased pressure. Fortunately I was able to bend it back into it's original shape...mostly. After that I simply used the short version attached to rope and worked it manually. This was actually the most effective method and began pulling huge root balls with the weeds. Again, great tool so far, minus my extreme testing.

Weed Ripper
It worked great on the bulk of the lake weeds but not for the last remnants of smaller weeds close to the lake bed. I modified the rake by adding some longer hardware and a wooden spacer to put it at a 30 - 45 degree angle with the pole. That helped it get some of the smaller weeds but not all. Might need another slightly different rake. Overall, It was very good.

They shipped it so quickly and it got delivered sooo quickly. Does what it says it does, easy to use, easy to remove the weeds from it as well, just by shaking it on either side.
